Fatigue and pain with Pbc

17 years ago I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis then 2 years ago they labeled it as pbc. I take 600 mg Ursodiol twice daily and 100 mg of azathioprine daily. The fatigue is really getting to me and the pain on right side is sometimes unbearable. Any suggestions?

  1. They are sending me to a rheumatologist in August but it’s getting very difficult to go to work everyday

    1. I know August probably feels like a long time to wait when you’re already struggling. Trying to keep up with work while dealing with that level of fatigue has to be incredibly exhausting. Hopefully your rheumatology appointment will help provide some answers and open the door to more support or treatment options that can make things a little easier. Keep us updated! 2. Hi there, ! I’m really sorry you’re dealing with all of that. That kind of fatigue on top of ongoing pain can be exhausting. Has the fatigue and right-side pain been getting worse recently, or has it been pretty steady since the diagnosis two years ago? It might be worth circling back with your doctor just to see if anything can be tweaked or rechecked. In the meantime, you could try focusing on pacing yourself and not pushing through the fatigue too hard, and taking breaks before you get completely wiped out. For the right-side discomfort, you could try a warm compress or heating pad helps if it feels more achy/tight. I hope things turn around for you soon! Warmly, Latoya (Team Member)
