In March, while asymptomatic, I was diagnosed at stage 3. Dr requested a biopsy which confirmed diagnosis, ruled out AH, and put on UDCA. A month later, my numbers were better. I go to my check up in August.

I’m glad you were able to get a diagnosis and start treatment quickly. But how did you feel when you first received the diagnosis, especially since you weren’t having any symptoms? I can imagine it was shocking to hear at first. But it’s great to hear your numbers improved after starting UDCA. I hope your August checkup continues to show positive progress. Keep us updated! Thank you. I am planning to do just that during my next appointment in a few weeks, after I have had more bloodwork done.

I do not know what stage I was diagnosed with. My doctor said he suspected I had likely been living with the condition for years, then next visit said my fibroscan scores showed no fat in my liver and only mild scarring. I don't know what to make of this.

I can understand why that feels unclear. It might be worth asking for a straightforward explanation of where things stand right now. You shouldn't have to walk away from appointments still trying to piece everything together. Have you tried asking for more insight? -Latoya (Team Member)
